What an honor! A friend of mine living in London sent me a message and asked me to make a cake for her friend's 2 year old daughter.
This was her initial message:
Hey Julie gorgeous,
How have you been? I see you've started your own cake business. That's wonderful and I am so happy you're doing something you're so passionate about! Plus your creations are magnificent!
So, I was wondering if you have capacity, could you help me make a cake for my friend's baby's 2nd birthday? She likes Winnie the pooh. I'm not sure what you're schedule is like and most probably you have orders out the door, but if you have capacity, her birthday is on 29th march. Let me know what sort of details you need from me and/or happy to hear your suggestions.

I am just so happy to receive an order from this friend in London, so of course I'll make it for her. How sweet is she, she's ordering a cake as a gift for her friend's kid in Sydney! That is so cute!! ^.^

What happened was that my friend gave me the contact number of the family who she ordered the cake for. I called them and the birthday girl's grandpa came to my place to pick up the cake. Apparently they live in the Hills district so it was a bit of a drive. However, it didn't stop us from making a cake for the 2 year old!!

ReplyDeleteI'm the mother of the bday girl and I wanted to thank you so much for the gorgeous cake. I was so impressed by the detail and how beautifully it was done and the cake itself was delicious! Rina is so sweet to organize it all the way from the other side of the world!
Charlotte was so excited when she saw the cake and enjoyed eating it.
